Unlock The Samsung Galaxy S4

Anyone who owns the Samsung Galaxy S4 can now unlock their device in easy steps and you don’t have to pay out anything to unlock it.

Say that you bought your handset with AT&T on contract and this contract has now expired, the handset will still be locked to AT&T. If you wish to move away to another carrier with another plan you will have to unlock it. When you have done this it can be used anywhere around the world. Follow the steps below to unlock your device.

Take your own SIM card out of the device and then put in another that doesn’t belong to your carrier. You should then switch it off and back on again.

Open up your dial pad and then enter *#197328640#. Go to main menu > [1] UMTS > [1] Debug Screen > [8] Phone Control > [6] Network Lock > Options [3]Perso SHA256 OFF > wait a minute before heading into menus and choosing back. You will see ‘Network Lock’ – so you select [4] NW Lock NV Data INITIALLIZ.

The correct sequence will read: Asterisk Pound One Nine Seven Three Two Eight Six Four Zero Pound. Remember that some people call the asterisk the ‘star’, and call the pound ‘hash’.

Your handset should now be unlocked and you can use it with any carrier that you want. This code has been used by Samsung for some time and so you could try it with other devices belonging to them.
